Heritage Sunday
A Note from Christine Tyrlik....
We have a rich history when it comes to Rome’s First Presbyterian Church, also known as the
First Religious Society. Much of it is easily viewed-starting from the stone outside, citing our
early history with Lt. Ebenezer and Grace Wright- to the inside, with stunning tributes and
stained glass windows, honoring previous pastors and esteemed members of the church.
Please take the time to see the historical artifacts around our sanctuary and adjacent wing.
Also, Check out the church library for Bertha Cable and Elizabeth M. Evans books on the history
of our church.
